In the bustling heart of Antwerp, in the trendy South district, March was able to successfully rent out a 330 m² office floor. The breathtaking view over the skyline of South Antwerp made this space particularly attractive for the company that leased this floor: Kijzer.
Kijzer, a leading company in the roofing industry, has strategically decided to expand its presence in Antwerp and this office space provided the perfect opportunity. March Companion Ben Van der Smissen had the pleasure to supervise the negotiations between the owner and Kijzer, focusing on the renovation works needed to adapt the space to the company's specific needs.
The negotiations over the lease were particularly interesting, focusing on the crucial issue: who would be responsible for the renovation works? Both the owner and Kijzer had strong arguments for their case. The owner wanted to maintain full control over the renovation to ensure that the property maintained its value, while Kijzer, with his experience in the construction sector, was convinced that they could carry out the renovation works efficiently and cost-effectively.
After intensive discussions, both parties came to a compromise, whereby Kijzer will be responsible for a total renovation with a high-quality finish.
The charm of this office floor goes beyond its beautiful surface and breathtaking views. The building itself adds to the appeal with its old warehouse look, which creates a unique and stylish atmosphere. The robust industrial elements, such as the brick walls, add a touch of nostalgia to the modernity of the space. This warehouse look proved to be an additional reason for Kijzer to choose this location, as the building will not only remain functional but also aesthetically appealing, in line with the trendy look of Antwerp South.
The future of the office building in Burburestraat therefore looks promising, with Kijzer soon moving in and transforming the space into a modern, efficient workplace with a breathtaking view of Antwerp's southern skyline.
